  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 1/3 c. water
  • 1 small box strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 to 1 1/2 qt. strawberries
  • whipped cream or Cool Whip

Directions

    Combine sugar, cornstarch and water.

    Cook until thick, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat and add strawberry Jell-O. Stir well and cool 2 to 3 hours.

    Clean and drain berries.

    Leave whole or slice.

    Add to syrup.

    Pour into baked pie shell.

    Top with whipping cream.
