Strawberry Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 (300 ml) caneagle brand sweetened condensed milk (regular or low-fat)
  • 2 cups thick plain yogurt
  • 14 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon rind
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 lb cake (pound cake, cubed)
  • 4 cups freshe strawberries, sliced

    LEMON CREAM: Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl.

    Set aside 5 minutes, mixture will thicken.

    ASSEMBLY: Place 1/4 of cake cubes in the bottom of a 10 cup glass trifle bowl.

    Cover with 1 cup of sliced strawberries, followed by 1/4 of the lemon cream mixture.

    Continue layering, ending with lemon cream.

    Chill for at least 2 hours.

    Serve.

    NOTE: You can replace the strawberries with any other berry.

    Trifle can be made a day ahead of time.
