String Beans With Thyme and Sage

Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh string bean, stemmed and cut in half
- 2 slices bacon, julienned
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 34 teaspoon ground sage
- 12 teaspoon dried thyme
- salt and pepper
- water
Directions

1Heat pan to medium and add butter, olive oil, bacon onions and garlic.

2Saute for about 3-4 minutes and then add string beans.

3Saute on med high heat for about 3 minutes.

4Then add sage, thyme, salt and pepper.

5Keep stirring for one minute.

6Add some water, about a few spoons and stir another minute.

7Then reduce flame to low and cook til done, about 3 minutes.

8The cooking time is up to you.

9I prefer a bit of bite to my beans, so they are done within 7-8 minutes.
