Ingredients
- 1 lb cubed beef (sirloin, mock chuck, stew meat)
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or olive oil, shortening, butter)
- 1 (3 ounce) can mushroom pieces or 1 cup fresh mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, grated
- 1 cup beef stock (or vegetable or beef boullion)
- 12 cup sour cream
Directions

1Heat oil in skillet with lid.

2Saute beef, salt, pepper, onion, garlic, and mushrooms until brown.

3Add beef stock, turn down heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or so.

4Watch the level of broth - it should not cook completely down, so add water or broth if you need more.

5When meat is tender, remove from heat.

6Add sour cream and mix.

7Serve over cooked egg noodles.
