- 6 to 8 large artichokes
- 2 c. Italian-style bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. grated Romano or Locatelli cheese
- 4 to 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- olive oil
Directions

1Mix bread crumbs, cheese and garlic in a large bowl.

2Clean artichokes by cutting off the stem and the tips.

3Cleanse artichoke by spreading open each leaf while running under water. Shake water out.

4Stuff artichokes with bread crumb mixture

6Place stuffed artichokes in a large pot; sprinkle olive oil all over artichokes.

7Fill pot with approximately 1 inch of water; bring to a boil.

8Cover and reduce heat; cook for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

10Add water when water evaporates. Artichokes are done when outer leaves start breaking off.
