Stuffed Cabbage

Ingredients
- 12 to 15 large cabbage leaves
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. uncooked white rice
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. hot pepper flakes (optional)
Directions

1Immerse cabbage leaves in boiling water until limp.

2Drain and set aside.

3Combine beef, onion, rice, egg, salt and pepper in bowl and mix well.

4Roll meat mixture in cabbage leaves, being careful to fold in sides and tuck in ends.

5Place in slow cooker.

6Stir pepper flakes (if used) and sugar into tomato sauce and pour over cabbage rolls.

7Cover pot and set at low.

8Cook 10 hours or set on automatic and cook 8 hours or until you're ready.
