Stuffed Cabbage

  • 1 link Polish sausage
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 8 c. rice, cooked for 5 minutes only and drained
  • 1 onion, diced and sauteed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 (No. 8) cans tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • garlic powder or 2 sauteed cloves garlic

    Put a large pot of water on and bring to a boil.

    Core, a little at a time, the cabbage and blanch just until leaves are fairly soft.

    Do not overcook.

    Continue to core and cook until all leaves are removed.

    Let cool down.

    In a bowl, take 8 cups of rice, onion, garlic, salt and pepper; mix well.
