Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Directions

1Cover leaves with water; boil 15 minutes or until limp.

2Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, rice, onion, egg and poultry seasoning together.

3Place equal portions of meat on each leaf.

4Fold sides of leaf over meat, roll up and fasten with toothpick or string. Brown in hot oil in large skillet.

5Combine sugar, water and lemon juice and stir into tomato sauce.

6Simmer, covered, for 1 hour, basting occasionally.
