Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

- 1 medium cabbage
- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Directions

1Gently remove the 10 outer leaves of cabbage.

2Reserve the remaining cabbage for other recipes.

3Put 1 inch of water in a large Dutch oven.

4Bring to a boil; add cabbage leaves.

5Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

6Drain cabbage leaves.

7Combine beef, onion, rice, butter, salt and pepper.

8Mix well.

9Place equal portions in center of cabbage leaves.

10Roll up.

11Place rolls, seam side down. Sprinkle with Parmesan.

12Pour tomatoes over and simmer for 1 hour.
