Stuffed Green Peppers

Ingredients
- 6 large green peppers
- 1 lb. ground round
- 3/4 c. instant rice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese
Directions

1Wash peppers and cut 1 inch ring off top.

2Clean out and discard seeds and membrane.

3Cut stem from top ring.

4Mix remaining ingredients together.

5Stuff peppers.

6Place 1 inch rings on top of each pepper.

7Press down.

8Stand peppers in baking dish upright, so that they fit snugly.

9Bake, uncovered, in a 350° oven for about 1 hour.

10Meat and rice should be tender and done. Serves 6.
