Stuffed Mushroom Bread

- 1 loaf Italian or Vienna bread (unsliced)
- 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. poppy seed
- 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 12 oz. grated Swiss cheese
- 8 oz. sliced fresh mushrooms
Directions

1Cut bread with crisscross cuts.

2This is just like scoring a ham.

3Cut to the bottom, but not through.

4Stuff with mushrooms and cheese.

5Melt butter; add other

6spices and pour over bread. Wrap in double thickness foil and bake in preheated 350° oven for 40 to 50 minutes.

7Serves well with steak or as an appetizer. This is also good with Cheddar cheese and ham chunks!
