Stuffed Onions

  • 6 large Vidalia or Bermuda onions
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cornbread stuffing mix
  • 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese (sharp)

Directions

    Peel onions and cut small slice from top and bottom.

    Slice each onion into 6 wedges, cutting to within 1/2-inch of bottom. Set aside.

    Prepare stuffing mix by directions on package. Cool. Stir in cheese.

    Fill onions with mixture.

    Wrap each onion in aluminum foil. Place in a 13 x 9 1/2-inch baking dish.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until tender.
