Ingredients
- 4 large green peppers
- 3/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt, or to season
- 1/4 tsp. pepper, or to season
- 1- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Rinse and cut a thin slice from the stem end of each pepper. Remove white fiber and seeds.

2Rinse cavities.

3Drop into boiling water and cover; simmer for 5 minutes.

4Remove peppers from water and drain.

5Saute the meat, onion and chopped pepper.

6Cook until slightly tender.

7Add uncooked rice, seasonings, tomato sauce and water.

8Heat to a simmer, until rice is slightly tender.

9Fill peppers with the meat mixture.

10Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

11If desired, top with bread crumbs and bake 10 - 15 minutes longer.
