  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 16 oz. can tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. shredded American cheese

Directions

    Clean and prepare peppers.

    Cook in boiling water 5 minutes. Take out and drain.

    In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned slightly and veggies tender.

    Drain off fat. Add tomatoes and uncooked rice, water, salt and Worcestershire sauce and a dash of pepper.

    Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 to 18 minutes or until rice is tender.

    Take off heat and stir in cheese.

    Stuff peppers.

    Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
