Ingredients
- 3 large green peppers
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cut thin slices from stem end of each pepper.

3Remove all seeds and membranes.

4Wash inside and outside. Heat 1 c. water and 1/2 tsp. salt to boiling.

5Add peppers and cook 5 minutes and drain.

6Mix remaining ingredients.

7Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/3 of the meat mixture.

8Stand peppers upright in ungreased 8x8x2 inch baking dish.

9Cover and bake 45 minutes.

10Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes.
-
11Makes 2-3 servings.
