Stuffed Peppers

  • 6 medium peppers
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cook peppers in salt water for 5 minutes.

    Brown hamburger and onion in oil.

    Mix hamburger, onion, rice, salt, pepper and egg with 1/2 can tomato soup.

    Stuff peppers.

    Place in baking dish. Add 1/2 can soup and 1/2 can of water.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Place a small piece of cheese on each pepper just before removing from oven just long enough for cheese to melt.
