Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 ounces cream cheese soft
  • 1/2 bag cheese mexican, nacho, pepperjack, cheddar or your choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 4 peppers red, yellow, or orange
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 teaspoons oil

Directions

    Heat oil in frying pan. Once hot, saute onions. Add ground beef and brown. Cut the peppers in half and remove seeds and stem. Set aside. Preheat oven to 390 degrees.

    Once browned, drain excess liquid, add the cream cheese first. Once dissolved, add in cheese, chili powder, garlic, salt, 1/2 cup bread crumbs.

    Scoop beef mixture into pepper halves. Coat top with bread crumbs and place on baking sheet.

    Once all peppers are on baking sheet, bake for 40 minutes.
