Directions

  1. 1
Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. 2
    Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
  3. 3
Add garlic, onion, turkey, mustard, soy sauce, salt and pepper to large mixing bowl.
  4. 4
Mix well (this is easier with your hands).
  5. 5
Divide the turkey into 8 equal-sized balls and flatten into patties.
  6. 6
Lay 2 slices of cheese on 4 of the patties and cover each with another patty.
  7. 7
Pinch the edges to seal the patties closed so the cheese won't melt out.
  8. 8
With your thumb, press down on the center of the patty; this will keep the juices locked in and prevents the burger from getting puffy.
  9. 9
Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper, to taste, and brush with olive oil.
  10. 10
Grill for about 2 minutes per side.
  11. 11
Remove from grill and set aside; toast buns on grill and remove.
  12. 12
Grill the burgers until cooked through, about 5 to 6 minutes per side.
  13. 13
Transfer the burgers to buns and top with spicy mayo sauce, lettuce and grilled tomatoes.
