- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- enough cold water to moisten cornstarch
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 3 egg whites
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- few grains salt
Directions

1Dissolve the cornstarch in the small amount of cold water. Stir in the boiling water.

2Cook until thick and clear.

3Cool. Beat the egg whites until stiff.

4Add salt and then sugar gradually.

5Beat in the cooled cornstarch and beat until of the right consistency to stand in pretty peaks.

6Brown in 375° oven.
