Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Dissolve 1 package yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.

    Sift together flour and salt in mixing bowl.

    Cut in butter and Crisco until particles are size of small peas.

    Blend in 2 beaten eggs, sour cream, vanilla and the softened yeast.

    Mix thoroughly. Cover; chill at least 2 hours.
