- 3 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, margarine and Crisco until fine.

2Keep 1 cup aside for the topping.

3Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.

4Pour batter into 2 (9-inch) cake pans.

5Sprinkle the reserved topping on top of batter.

6Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
