  • 1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. almond
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter; mix in egg, vanilla and almond extract.

    Stir dry ingredients together.

    Blend into creamed mixture.

    Refrigerate 2 or 3 hours.

    Heat oven to 375°.

    Divide dough in half and roll out on lightly floured board and cut out with cookie cutters.

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown.
