  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 well beaten eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Cream the shortening and sugar together; beat until light and fluffy.

    Add the eggs and milk; beat well.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together; add to mixture.

    Shape into mound; wrap in waxed paper and chill thoroughly.

    Roll on board lightly floured with confectioners sugar, until dough is about 1/4-inch thick.

    Cut cookies, then place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for about 8 minutes.
