  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream margarine, oil, sugar and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well.

    Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.

    Mix well and add vanilla and lemon juice.

    Form in tiny balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Press flat with glass dipped in sugar.

    Bake at 375° until light brown.
