Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix first 4 ingredients and set aside.

    In a large bowl at medium speed, cream butter, oil and both sugars until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs and vanilla, continue beating.

    Add dry ingredients and stir until mixed.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Shape dough in 1-inch balls, roll in sugar and place on a greased cookie sheet.

    Press each cookie with a fork.

    Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes or until very light brown.
