- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- sweetened shredded coconut
Directions

1Melt butter in frying pan, adding sugar, eggs, salt and dates. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

2Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes.

3Add vanilla, walnuts, and Rice Krispies.

4Form into balls and roll in coconut.

5Makes 40 sugar plums.

6These freeze well.
