  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 8-9 cups shelled pecan halves

Directions

    Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl.

    Mix well with spoon.

    Add pecans; stir until evenly coated.

    Spread in a greased 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 275° for 50-55 minutes. Remove to waxed paper and break apart while still warm; cool. Store in an airtight container.

    Yield 9-10 cups.
