  • 2 qt. shelled pecan halves
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 to 4 tsp. vanilla
  • salt

Directions

    Combine sugar and milk; stir and cook until mixture threads. Pour 3 to 4 teaspoons vanilla over pecans in a pan; sprinkle with salt.

    Let vanilla soak in while syrup cooks.

    Pour syrup over pecans and stir to coat.

    After cool, break up into individual pecans.

    These turn very white as they dry.
