- 2 1/2 c. pecans
- 1 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Put sugar in a pan (do not use Teflon).

2Add water; stir and bring to a boil.

3Reduce heat so that mixture boils, but not furiously.

4Stir constantly until mixture forms a ball in cold water.

5Add pecans, stirring gently.

6Stir until evaporation reduces the liquid to zero and pecans crust.

7Sprinkle vanilla over pecans.
-
8Stir until pan and pecans are dry.
-
9Spread pecans on a cold cookie sheet and let the mixture cool.

10Makes about 1 pound.
