- 8 - 10 fresh Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Fresh basil leaves, torn into pieces
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 lb. Fusilli or spiral shaped pasta
- grated Romano cheese
Directions

1At least an hour ahead, combine the first five ingredients and refrigerate.

2Can be done the day ahead to allow the flavors to blend.

3To serve:

4Cook pasta according to directions until al dente. Drain.

5Toss with cold tomato mixture.

6Top with grated cheese. Serve immediately.
