  • 2 to 3 well rounded Tbsp. shortening
  • 3/4 c. fresh buttermilk

    Cut shortening into flour.

    Add milk gradually to make a soft dough.

    Turn out on floured board and knead lightly, about 30 seconds.

    Roll 1/3-inch thick.

    Cut with biscuit cutter.

    Bake on greased biscuit pan at 450° for about 10 minutes.
