- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 12 cup water
- 1 12 cups sunflower seeds
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions

1Butter the sides of a heavy saucepan.

2add Sugar, corn syrup and water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

3cook and stir over medium low heat until candy thermometer reads 260 degrees.

4stir in sunflower seeds and butter quickly.

5cook until 300 degrees.

6remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda.

7pour into a buttered baking pan and spread evenly.

8cool completly and break into pieces.
