- 8 medium potatoes, peeled
- 1 12 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 13 cup chopped onion
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1 cup sour cream
- 34 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon pepper
Directions

1In a Dutch oven or large kettle, cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender.

2Cool completely; shred and place in a large bowl.

3Add 1 cup cheese and onion.

4Combine remaining ingredients; pour over potato mixture.

5Transfer to a greased 2-1/2-qt.
