Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/4 cups milk, warmed
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 3/4 cup light cream
  • 1 lb mixed seafood, such as shrimp and bay scallops
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 None New York strip steaks (7-8 oz each)

Directions

    Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add flour; cook, stirring, until mixture bubbles and thickens. Gradually add milk, stirring, until mixture boils and thickens.

    Bring wine to a boil in large skillet. Reduce heat to low; simmer until reduced by half. Add white sauce, cream and seafood; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer for 5 mins, or until seafood is cooked through. Stir in dill and lemon juice.

    Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Cook steaks until desired doneness. Serve steaks topped with seafood sauce.
