- 3 egg whites
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. (6oz.) mini semi-sweet choc. chips
- 1/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions

1In a mixing bowl beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

2Gradually add sugar, salt and vanilla.

3Beat until stiff peaks form and sugar is dissolved (about 5-8 minutes).

4Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.

5Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.

6Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes or until lightly brown.

7Cool on baking sheets.

8Store in airtight container.
