  • 3 qt. figs, peeled
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello

Directions

    Peel ripe figs, trimming off the stem completely.

    Sprinkle with sugar and add enough water to start cooking (about 1 or 2 cups).

    Use wide kettle.

    When figs reach boiling point, mash. Cook until mixture thickens.

    Stir in strawberry gelatin.

    Cook until desired consistency.

    Pour into sterilized jars and seal while hot.

    Makes 5 pints.
