Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 3 eggs

Directions

    Mix the first 3 ingredients as for pie crust.

    Pat on a cookie sheet in two long strips about 3-inches wide.

    Place the 1 cup water and butter in a pan and heat to boiling.
  4. 4
    Remove from heat and add the 1 cup flour and then the eggs, beating after each addition.

    Add the almond flavoring.

    Spread lightly on top of the pie crust mixture.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.

    When cool, frost with Buttercream Frosting.

    One recipe of frosting is enough for 3 or 4 recipes of Kringle.
