- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- Dash of salt
- 1 lb. shelled pecans
- 1/2 c. butter
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Put nuts on 11 by 15 jelly roll pan in oven to warm.

3Meanwhile, make meringue by beating egg whites; adding sugar and salt.

4Fold nuts into meringue.

5Melt butter in same jelly roll pan.

6Spread nut mixture in melted butter. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.

7They are done when nuts are dry, brown and crispy.

8Store in tin and place in refrigerator or freeze.
