- 4 c. whole pecan halves (1 lb.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 stiff beaten egg whites
- 3/4 stick butter/margarine
Directions

1Toast pecans on cookie sheet at 325° until lightly brown. Fold sugar into egg whites and beat again to stiff peaks.

2Fold toasted pecans into egg whites.

3Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread nut mixture in pan and bake 30 minutes.

4Turn mixture with spatula every 10 minutes.

5Let cool a bit, then break apart.
