  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cardamon
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 2 cakes yeast
  • flour

Directions

    Heat milk and add butter.

    Beat eggs and sugar together.

    Add salt, cardamon and raisins.

    Pour in warm milk and add yeast which has been dissolved in a little water.

    Add enough flour to knead into a soft dough.

    Set aside to rise.

    Shape into loaves and bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.
