- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- jelly
- 1 c. flour
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 c. walnuts
Directions

1Cream butter and blend sugar.

2Add egg yolk, then flour.

3Roll dough into small balls, 1-inch in diameter.

4Dip each one in egg white, then roll in chopped nuts.

5Place cookies on greased cookie sheet.

6Bake 5 minutes at 300°.

7Press centers and bake 15 minutes longer.

8Cool slightly.

9Fill hole with jelly.

10Yields 2 1/2 dozen.
