  • 3/4 cake compressed yeast or rounded tsp. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. softened butter or margarine
  • 5 c. flour

Directions

    Soak together the yeast, 1/2 cup warm water and 1/4 cup sugar. Add the remaining ingredients.

    Let rise.

    Using flour on a board, form into round, flat buns (sandwich meat size).

    Let rise again on the pans.

    Bake at 350° until golden brown.
