  • 34 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 12 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400.

    Combine dry ingredients.

    Add milk, egg and oil.

    Stir until well mixed.

    Coat 9 inch square pan with non-stick cooking spray.

    Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean (approximately 20 minutes).

    Combine margarine and honey.

    Spread over top of hot cornbread.
