  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 34 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 14 cup shortening

Directions

    In a mixing bowl combine all the dry ingredients: Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder and Salt.

    Add Milk, Eggs, and Shortening.

    Beat for 1 minute.

    Pour into a greased 9 inch square baking pan and bake at 425 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
