- 3 cup pecan halves
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp (1/4 stick) unsalted butter, softened
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F.

2Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper, and generously grease the foil or parchment with the butter.

3Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.

4Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.

5Remove from the heat and stir in the pecans.

6Let stand for 5 minutes, stirring often.

7Drain the pecans and return them to the saucepan.

8Add the ginger, salt, and cayenne and stir to coat the pecans.

9Spread in a single layer on the prepared pan.

10Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once.

11Cool completely in the pan before serving.
