- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, divided
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Cream together butter, white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar.

3Add egg yolks, baking powder and baking soda. Press in a greased 11 x 15-inch pan.

4Sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate chips; press down.

5Beat egg whites stiff.

6Slowly add 1 cup brown sugar.

7Spread over chips, nuts and dough.

8Bake 20 minutes.
