- 3 or 4 potatoes
- salt, pepper and nutmeg
- sliced green onions
- shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 1/2 or 2 c. milk
- 1 beaten egg yolk
- butter
Directions

1Butter a casserole and rub it with the garlic.

2Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Arrange in layers in casserole, sprinkling each layer with salt, pepper, nutmeg, sliced green onions and shredded Swiss cheese.

3Scald the milk and slowly add the egg yolk.

4Pour over the potatoes and dot with butter. Bake 1 hour or more at 350°.
