- 1 1/2 lb. round steak (about 1 inch thick)
- 1/4 c. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 large rib celery, sliced
- 1/4 lb. (generous) mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp. dried crushed basil
- 1/4 tsp. dried crushed oregano
- 1/4 tsp. dried crushed thyme
Directions

1Trim excess fat from steak.

2Pound flour into the meat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

3In a large skillet heat oil.

4Add steak and brown meat on both sides over medium heat.

5Place steak in baking dish, about 12 x 8 x 2-inch.
