Ingredients
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 lb. beef round steak (about 3/4-inch thick)
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1/2 c. beef broth
- 2 c. peeled sliced carrots
Directions

1Combine flour, salt and pepper.

2Coat steak with seasoned flour.

3With wooden mallet, pound meat between wax paper until it is 1/2-inch thick.

4Cut into 6 serving pieces.

5Heat oil; brown steak well, all sides.

6Saute onion until tender.

7Add tomatoes and broth.

8Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

9Add carrots.
-
10Cover; simmer 1/2 hour or until meat and carrots are tender.
