Ingredients

  • 3 lb. round steak, cut in serving size pieces
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c. shortening or oil
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope dried onion soup mix
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 soup can water

Directions

    Combine flour, salt and pepper; dredge steak in flor and pound meat.

    Brown meat on both sides in hot shortening or oil.

    Put meat in a roasting pan.

    Combine rest of ingredients and pour over meat.

    Cover.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender.

    Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
